Thing String

In October 2008, I was in New York to perform at an event.

Feeling like my outfit was missing something, I suddenly found myself roaming around the fashion district looking for inspiration.

Suddenly, it hit me— a single piece of thread as an accessory.

Thing String was born.

As an accessory, Thing String is formless, durational, often happens by chance, and without warning, can be transferred from one person to another.

Since October, Thing String has been seen and shared throughout the United States.

If you are interested in perpetuating this accessory, simply find a piece of thread and put it on. It goes great with any outfit, and comes in a variety of colors.
